Just replied to paul's message and it got me thinking...If we had to pay for carrier bags at the checkout, would we reuse old ones? It would certainly make me change my ways as i do a whole week's worth of shopping in one go and it would add considerably to the bill, depending on what they charged.

The cost should be covered by the supermarkets ....they should make biodgradeable bags. The last thing i want is to lug around a load of old bags...i have enough with the wife and her mother!!!
